Okay MyBookie golf betting faithful, with just one week remaining before the start of the 2020 Masters, it’s time to checkout the value-packed odds to win the 2020 Houston Open!

Golf Betting Predictions | 2020 Houston Open Odds and Predictions

The PGA Tour is at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas, this week for the Vivint Houston Open. The final event before next week’s Masters features a loaded field of top stars going all-out for the win. World No. 1 Dustin Johnson is the prohibitive favorite with the unheralded Tyler Hatton as the No. 2 pick on the odds board.

The Memorial Park course has undergone a massive redesign this year and hosts a PGA Tour event for the first time since 1963. The course measures 7,021 yards and plays to a par of 71. The event will be the first tournament played in North America to welcome spectators since the Players Championship in March. Now, let’s find out which five golfers are looking good against their respective PGA Tour odds in this one.

Odds To Win 2020 Houston Open

  • Scottie Scheffler +2200

The Top Five Golfers To Bet On

The world No. 10 might have missed the cut in his last event at the US Open, but Hatton finished T28 at the Zozo Championship in his last event and an even more impressive T3 in the CJ Cup in mid-October. Hatton is ranked a stellar seventh in birdie average (5.00) and eight in sand save percentage (80.00%). While I don’t think his odds should be this good for the Houston Open, Hatton still makes my top five picks.

The 23-year-old world No. 24 ranks 32nd in scoring average (70.1) and 13th in sand save percentage (75.00%). Better yet, the Norway native finished T13 in the US Open, T12 in the CJ Cup and T47 in his last outing at the Zozo Championship.

The 24-year-old world No. 30 ranks inside the top 33 in driving distance (309.5), driving accuracy, G.I.R and birdie average (4.79). More importantly, Scheffler comes into the Houston Open fresh off a T17 finish in the Zozo Championship, following a pair of Top 52 finishes in the Sanderson Farms Championship (T37) and the CJ Cup (T52). Make no mistake about it, Scheffler has the game to beat almost anyone on the planet today.

The 31-year-old world No. 17 ranks 15th in eagles per hole (72.0) and a stupendous fifth in scoring average (68.9). More importantly, Finau has finished in the top 17 in five of his past six events and comes into this event fresh off a T8 finish in the US Open and a T11 finish in the Zozo Championship two weeks back.

The world No. 1 has been out of action since finishing T6 at the US Open in September. However, a well-rested Johnson also won the Tour Championship in his previous outing while finishing second in the BMW Championship and taking home the hardware at the Northern Trust in August. The 36-year-old Johnson has a jaw-dropping four Top 1 finishes and five Top 6 finishes in his last five events while winning twice. While Johnson makes his return from a positive COVID-19 test result, he’s been so hot that I believe he’s going to have a great chance to get the win in his first tournament back.
