After a few week’s way in Abu Dhabi for Fight Island, the UFC returns to the mainland for another stint at the Apex in Las Vegas. It’s a pretty sold main card that we have set for Saturday night, with no less than 5 fights set to go. That includes a pair of fights that serve as the co-main event, although it is the Hall/Silva fight that will serve as the final bout of the evening. There is a lot to unpack with this event, so let’s get into each of the 5 fight on the main card, with predictions made for each, along with their UFC odds.
UFC Fight Night: Hall Vs Silva | MMA Betting
Bobby Green (-310) Vs Thiago Moises (+250)
It’s the lightweights who are up first in what looks to be a very good fight. Bobby Green comes in as the favorite for this one, which is not that surprising when you consider that he is on a nice run of form, winning each of his last 3 fights. Each of his last 8 fights have gone the distance, so do not expect this one to end quickly. Moises is coming off a win, but that was just his second victory in his last 5 fights, a run that took his career mark to 13-4. I am looking at Green to win this by decision.
Greg Hardy (-330) Vs Maurice Greene (+255)
The big boys step into the octagon next for a heavyweight bout that promises to be hard hitting. Former NFL star Greg Hardy will look to make it back to back wins in this one as he tries to improve on his 6-2 pro mark. He will go against Maurice Greene (9-4), who is also coming into this bout on the heels of a win after taking back to back losses. It is probably fair to suggest that this one will not go the distance, and I am on Hardy to win by KO.
Kevin Holland Vs Charlie Ontiveros
Be sure to check back in for the odds on this one, as Holland was originally supposed to take on Makhmud Muradov, who pulled out very late. Holland comes into this one with a 19-5 record, and he is on a solid run of form, winning 3 in a row. This may end up being little more than a sparring type of bout for Holland, though, as Ontiveros is making the step up to UFC after fighting in Fury FC. I think we will see Holland finish this thing off rather quickly.
Bryce Mitchell (-140) Vs Andre Fili (+110)
The co-main event of the night is a featherweight bout that appears to be pretty evenly matched. Bryce Mitchell comes into this one with a perfect 13-0 record. If you look back at his recent form, you will see an L, but that came in an exhibition bout. He is sitting at 3-0 under the UFC banner. Fili is far and away the more experienced of the two fighters, winning 3 of his last 4 to go to 21-7. This has all the makings of a great fight, but I think Mitchell is one to watch, so I am taking him to win.
Uriah Hall (-225) Vs Anderson Silva (+185)
It’s a pair of veteran fighters stepping into the octagon for the final fight of the night. Even at 36 years of age, Hall is still 9 years younger than his opponent. Hall is 15-9 and is coming into this bout on the heels of back to back wins. Silva is now 45 and his best years are well and truly behind him. He has now lost 4 of his last 5 fights and you need to wonder when he will call it a day. He will give a solid effort, as always, but I have to go with Hall in this one.
