Okay MyBookie golf betting enthusiasts, with the 2020 Zozo Championship now in the books and the golf universe moving closer to the Nov. 12 start date of the 2020 Masters, it’s time to take a look at the latest odds to win the most prestigious event in all of professional golf. Let’s start by looking at the final leaderboard of the Zozo championships, along with their updated Masters odds.
The 2020 Masters: PGA Updated Odds (Oct. 26th)
- When: November 12-15, 2020
- Where: Augusta National Golf Club
- Location: Augusta, Georgia
- Field: 96 players
- Prize fund: $11,500,000
Patrick Cantlay +3500
Currently second in the FedEx rankings and ninth in the official golf world rankings, the 28-year-old Californian hasn’t seen hid odds as a +3500 pick change as of yet despite winning the Zozo title by one stroke over world No. 2 Jon Rahm and world No. 3 Justin Thomas on Sunday. Still, Cantlay now looks like a real threat in Augusta seeing as how he finished T43 at the U.S. Open, T8 in the Shriners Open, and T38 at the CJ Cup before winning this weekend. If you can get Cantlay at +3500 for the Masters, again, he looks well worth a wager.
Jon Rahm +1100
The gifted world No. 2 is the same +1100 pick at Augusta that he has been for the last two weeks, but I’m thinking he should probably be the prohibitive favorite. Rahm finished T23 at the U.S. Open in September, T17 in the CJ Cup two weeks ago and T2 in the Zozo Championship on Sunday. Right now, Rahm is on fire!
Justin Thomas +1200
The world No. 3 is the same +1200 pick to win thee Masters that he was a week ago, but Thomas, like Rahm, could very well be the prohibitive favorite. The 27-year-old Thomas finished T8 in the U.S. Open, T12 in the CJ Cup and T2 in the Zozo Championships on Sunday. Make no mistake about it, Thomas will have a chance to win at Augusta.
You might have to search long and hard to find Henley’s Masters odds, but the FedEx No. 15 and world No. 62 is off to a blistering start this season. Henley finished T27 in the Shriners Open, T3 in the CJ Cup and T4 in the Zozo Championship on Sunday. The 31-year-old Georgia native should contend at the very least in Augusta.
Cameron Smith +17500
The FedEx No. 21 and world No. 51 might not be on your radar as a contender to win the Masters, but he definitely should be. The 27-year-old Australian finished T24 in the Shriners, 11th in the CJ Cup and T4 in the Zozo Championship. The two-time PGA Tour winner is talented and trending upward. I love the value that Smith is offering as a whopping +17500 pick.
Bubba Watson same +4000
The 41-yer-old superstar is ranked 23rd in the FedEx standings and 46th in the official golf world rankings. More importantly, Watson is a two-time Masters winner (2012, 2014) that has also finished T5 and T12 the last two years at Augusta. Watson has his 2020-21 campaign off to a fantastic start after finishing T31 in the U.S. Open, T7 in the Shriners and T4 at the Zozo on Sunday. I have no doubt that Watson is gearing up to make a big-time run at the 2020 Masters.
Moving on through the rest of the most recent Masters odds, Bryson DeChambeau was a +1200 pick two weeks ago before moving up to prohibitive favorite status as a +800 pick to win the Masters a week ago. Rory McIlroy is the same +1000 pick at Augusta that he was a week ago after finishing T17 this past weekend.
Dustin Johnson is still a +1100 pick to win the Masters as he gears up to make a return from the positive coronavirus result that kept him out of the Zozo this past week.
Xander Schauffele, who also finished T17 in the Zozo Championship, is the same+1400 pick to win the Masters that he opened as weeks ago. Tony Finau is also the +3000 pick at Augusta that he’s been for weeks now, although he looked impressive in finishing T11 in the Zozo Championship on Sunday.
Brooks Koepka is the same +1800 pick to win in Augusta that he was a week ago, although his Masters Odds have dropped dramatically since he opened as a +1100 pick. Last, but certainly not least, the legendary Tiger Woods is still a +2300 pick to repeat at Augusta despite his ugly T72 finish at the Zozo Championship – an event he won a year ago.
